What is Balmor Landing?

Balmor Landing is a 150 year old, classic Nova Scotia homestead situated conveniently at the heart of Cape Breton. We have four rambling acres for you to enjoy with a mature apple orchard and a private beachfront. We are passionate about 'the guest experience' and look forward to hosting you.

How many guests can stay?

We offer four comfortable bedrooms (One King Room, Two double Bedrooms, one Twin Bedroom) We can sleep up to 8 guests.

How much does it cost?
Do you have a minimum booking?

We offer a variety of options which reflect seasonal interest/length of stay. We require a 3-night minimum booking. Please visit our Airbnb profile for more information. You can also email us at balmorlanding@gmail.com

Do you host events?

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer an event service -yet. However, we do host Brides and their bridesmaids (or grooms and their groomsmen) prior to their wedding. When you've booked with us, you can also use our grounds for your wedding photos.

Do you take winter books? Are you available over Christmas?

We are open all-year-round. As for Christmas, Balmor Landing is the perfect place to spend your family Christmas.

Does your Cape Breton Airbnb have a Hot Tub?

We realise hot tubs have been a popular 'interest' lately but we offer you other fabulous attractions like an incredible view over the bay, your own private beach and 4 lush acres of mature orchards and flower gardens. Not to mention a close distance to most major attractions. Both North Sydney and Sydney are basically on your doorstep. Incredible attractions like The Cabot Trail, The Gaelic College and Louisbourg are an easy 30 minute drive away. PS. Just to be clear, that's a cheeky 'No' to the hot tub ;)

Is your Airbnb Close to the NewfoundLand (NFLD) Ferry Terminal?

Yes, Balmor Landing is a short drive from the NFLD Ferry Terminal. It's approximately an 8-10 drive. You can drive along the waterfront on Seaview Drive, through to North Sydney or take the 125 Highway then change for the TransCanada Route 105.

Is your Airbnb near the Canadian Coast Guard College?

Yes, we've hosted many members of the Canadian Coast Guard College (and proud parents of graduating students) over the years. The college site is a 10-15 minute drive from Balmor Landing.
